Last summer, in the process of writing a review of a book by W.E.B. Du Bois, I had the great privilege to talk with Glen Ford, executive editor of the Black Agenda Report radio show. The conversation took place just shortly after a series of confrontations between presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton that demonstrated much to be desired on both sides of the conversation. This interview means a great deal to me because it helped form my understanding of topics one has to be talking about whenever doing reporting on black and brown issues. For that I remain truly appreciative of Ford’s time that day.
